Design and Operation of a Lead Auction Product for the Automotive Industry

Velo is a SaaS platform revolutionizing the car shopping experience. Designed for dealers, VeloApp connects them with qualified consumers directly via their smartphones. In a transparent and efficient manner, consumers receive tailored offers selected by the Velo system.

At its core, Velo aims to transform the car buying and selling equation, creating a win-win scenario for both consumers and dealerships. Our platform ensures that consumers discover the best cars with optimal offers, while dealerships gain a new source of business.

Velo simplifies and streamlines interactions between buyers and sellers through a responsive website and a mobile app. The website serves as a comprehensive facilitator, guiding users from initial research to securing the best deal, all while presenting technical information in an easily digestible format.

With three search options—make/model, features, and lifestyle—along with comparison tools and a lifecycle simulator, Velo empowers consumers to make informed decisions, turning casual inquiries into qualified leads.

Once a lead is generated, the Velo system efficiently distributes requests to a pool of vendors using VeloApp. This distribution follows systemic rules that consider factors like geolocation and previous call evaluations.

The platform’s limited response time instills a sense of urgency among salespeople, prompting them to present their best offers promptly to meet consumer needs.

The Velo algorithm evaluates and classifies proposals, focusing not just on financial aspects but also on delivering the best overall experience to the consumer.

Ultimately, consumers can schedule viewings with confidence, knowing they are getting the best car and the best deal from the top sellers.

Velo was a two-year project, and I was proud to be one of its founders.

I lead the team, focusing on:
