Try Consultoria was contracted to address a significant issue for one of Brazil's largest banks. The problem revolved around the ecosystem of digital solutions serving the bank’s employees. Over the past three years, the bank has undergone rapid growth and international expansion, compounded by the pandemic, which introduced remote work and its cultural pressures. The high turnover in the market has only added to the complexity. While the bank retains its startup spirit, it now operates at the scale and processes of a large, established company.

These factors have created a series of complex and simultaneous challenges for the bank’s HR team, which must adapt to these shifts while maintaining operational efficiency.

The challenge for Try Consultoria is to review the digital employee experience to understand the current user journey and suggest improvements, all while considering the limitations of the bank's existing HR tools. The goal is to thoroughly examine the digital experience, aiming to enhance employee engagement, streamline processes, and improve overall satisfaction.

Try will focus on three main tools: the primary HR management system, the recruitment platform, and the career development tool. The objective is to propose feasible enhancements within the constraints of each tool in the bank’s broader digital ecosystem.

  • Based on the types of problems, we have identified 37 findings and insights divided in 5 main classes

The main target items identified during the project:
29 initiatives: that can be transformed into quick win actions or viable bets for the roadmap.

Three major solutions were chosen to be materialized into prototypes, detailed and described with their functionalities:

  • Prototype with 2 flows of the the primary HR management system, redesign: Identifying opportunities for improving the interface and usability of the tolls to facilitate and simplify the user experience.

  • Prototype with Employee Journey HUB example: having a single source of guidance to consolidate the resources, micro-journeys, tools, and necessary information that are part of the employe journey.

  • Prototype with Test Guideline: providing support to promote autonomy to team in conducting tests with higher customer centricity  when faced with changes in features in internal systems.

I lead the Try team, focusing on:

  • Team Leadership: training, aligning processes, understanding roles, onboarding new members, and sharing responsibilities.

  • Project Management: ensuring deadlines are met, overseeing delivery responsibilities.

  • Planning: organizing demands based on the project timeline, setting clear deadline deliveries.

  • Leadership Alignment: facilitating essential communication between leadership for successful project outcomes.

  • Creating UX Culture: developing flexible, creative processes with designers, enhancing seniority and decision-making power within the UX team, and acting as a bridge between Try and other areas of the client.

  • Team Orchestration: identifying and addressing issues, ensuring adherence to rules, and maintaining organization in tools like Figma.

  • Process and Standards Development: establishing team processes, including Figma standards, design systems, and sprint rituals.

  • Ritual Definition: conducting daily updates to keep the team informed and weekly critiques to review and address potential issues.
